Our ultrasound courses are for MBBS and DHMS doctors, LHVs (lady health visitors), CMWs (community midwives), and others with an equivalent qualification who want to build their diagnostic imaging skills.

Basic ultrasound course
Whole abdomen, and obstetrics and gynaecology
A foundation course in ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis. You will learn to identify and evaluate all the abdominal and pelvic organs, recognise gynaecological and obstetric conditions, and assess the obstetric profile of the baby. Common findings such as cysts and fibroids are also covered.

Advanced ultrasound course
Whole-body Doppler
An in-depth course in Doppler ultrasound across the whole body. You will learn to perform and interpret carotid, renal artery, obstetric, pelvic and peripheral Doppler studies, and strengthen your diagnostic skills.

Small parts ultrasound
Breast and thyroid
Ultrasound examination of the small parts of the body, focusing on the breast and the thyroid. You will learn the skills to tell normal findings from abnormal ones in both areas.

- Telling benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) lesions apart
- Thyroid ultrasound procedures
- Guidance for fine-needle aspiration (FNA)
